i was thinking (yes i do that from time to time) about a new notion about oneself exposed face to everyone on the reign of social networks and the internet: this notion is "one truly face". What i mean is to show just one and only one true face to the internet and social networks in the name of oneself representational identity.
What i mean by this?
roughly concepted, i mean:
one true and only one true face: that's the core: you are only a person with the possibility of just one virtual identity. That means you expose just one profile, and (i'm not so sure about this one, i need to read more Kant) eventually i think you would need to give up the right to be able to represent yourself in different ways exposing yourself to different social circles always in the same way, in favor of accountability and credibility, by giving no chance to potential hyprocritic behavior. That leaves no place to doubt and no place to anyone to doubt about your word, because when you say something, you become attached to what you say. You become a slave of your own word, so watch it! you reputation is at risk, behave well!. It could be a little controversial. Oh wait. I admit it. It's pretty damn radical controversial. Well, we may need a revolution. This way you end doubt, unfaithful behavior and suspicious in just one clean shot. The problem is that it needs some mechanism to separate semi-public from private stuff, and that's one step in the direction i go against.
Nonetheless, i'm nobody to judge or to revolutionaze anybody's life by demanding their right to secrecy and private life, but instead i propose this as a new mechanism to counter attack some of the vices internet and human social interaction is plagued.
It can be right or not, it's just a thought
